2008 National Stationery Show December 2, 2007
Some of you might know that this is going to be my first year exhibiting at the National Stationery Show at the Javitz Center in NYC in May 2008. This new endeavor is very exciting but I am getting extremely nervous. I have all these thoughts running through my mind; especially “will the buyers like my designs”? If anyone plans on going to the show in May, please stop by because I would love to meet you (my booth location might change so I will post my booth number when it is finalized). Anyone who has exhibited there before, I would love to hear from you on tips and ideas for booth setup and anything else you deem necessary. Also, is it worth getting the foam core panels?
good luck getting ready for this show. I used to design a line of stationery and attended several years ago. it was a blast
cheers

I attended this year to get a feel for trends and such. It was a great experience I hope to go again in 08. Good luck to you.

Hi Alexandra,
I will be exhibiting for the first time too. There is a discussion about booth set up at the paper peeps inspiration boards - lots of good info. I can’t remember if you are already a member there.
By the way, I found my way here via indiepublic after your friend request. Thanks and nice to meet you!

Hi Alexandra,
My name is Alexandra too! I just registered and it will be my first time too. I wish someone out there could give us some inside tips… Anyone?

Hi Alexandra,
It will also be our first time exhibiting at the show. My partner and I share the same sentiments. It is exciting, but a little nerve-racking. I figure that as the show gets closer, we will all be spending a few nights lying awake wondering if anyone will buy our products…
If you haven’t seen it already, GLM has a pretty good manual that describes the booths and offers advice on how to decorate them. I believe you can get to it from the Exhibitor Center area.
Good luck! And please stop by our booth to say hi. We are at #2066.
Sinverly,
Jennifer
