I have a great deal of this press type as well as the original type set press that I need to sell quickly. I’m located in Ohio. To purchase it you would have to come and pick it up. I have found it very difficult to find buyers for these treasures. If you are a seriously interested buyer, please contact me at natalie.harrington@hotmail.com. Thank you.

This is in regards to my post about having type and a press in a previous note. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who where interested. Fortunately, the type and press found a wonderful home at a non-profit printing, paper making, and book making conservatory in Cleveland called the Morgan Conservatory. Thus, I no longer have the equipment. Thank you. Natalie

Unfortunately we don’t have any lead/wood type available for sale. You may want to try briarpress.org or your local printer.

        Thanks, Evan

Hello- I am a potter and 30 years ago a friend (now deceased) made a stamp for me from small printing press letters (I guess) that were all connected so the whole thing is a 2″ x 1″ thin metal piece with the letters on the edge (simple but hard to explain) spelling “MUDWORKS”. There wer 2 sizes, one with letter .5 centimeter and one smaller. I have lost all but one of them and am trying to find someone that can make me these.
      Please email me at mudworkpottery@aol.com.
      Thank you,
      Victoria

        Hi Victoria,

Have you tried contacting a photopolymer platemaker like Boxcar? They can take a digital file and make a polymer plate you can use on your pottery. Where are you located?

Let us know if you need help.

      Hi Mark,
I too have type cabinets for sale (10) that have an average of 20 full trays of type in groups of different fonts and sizes : 204 trays in total.
I have some cabinets with type from the print shop that printed some documents for Pentridge Prison in Melbourne, Victoria. These cabinets are ornate and are dated to 1905. Being an ex Hand Compositor (1970-1976) I have collected a lot of old printing equipment dating back to 1880′s?
Thanks for forum. Greg – greenzone.hsa@bigpond.com in Melb. Australia
