Letterpress invitations for corporate events is certainly not a new trend, in fact we posted a while back about letterpress invitations we printed for First Kentucky Trust’s Open House (see post: corporate letterpress). Shortly after printing those invitations we got a call from Men’s Vogue to print these invitesfor a special event. Audemars Piguet, who sponsored the event, makes fine Swiss watches which was the inspiration for the design.

The watch design was printed in silver metallic ink and shows the intricate details of the gears which when letterpress printed provides a unique effect on the paper. Below are some closer pictures of the design which shows the metallic shimmer of the ink and the deep impression we were able to achieve using our thick cotton stock.

These invites are a great example of how letterpress printing can be used to create a unique invitation and start your event off on the right foot.

A new invitation has been added to the Dolce Press Wedding Line.  The Florence invite is a bit different because if you notice, we pressed the negative space allowing the image to be bumped up  instead of depressed on the paper.   We love how this image just pops

Especially when the invites are this gorgeous!  We have added 3 new designs to our wedding portfolio, each with a distinctive style and a little something extra.  Just the Letterpress printing on the invite itself makes a piece standout but we have added some special embellishments to make then unforgettable.  We will be updating our custom page with more information on these special embellishments such as pouches, belly bands, Swarovski crystals, edge painting etc.  In the meantime, please feel free to contact us for more information.

Jina is a designer we have worked with in the past (grape vine letterpress wedding invitations) and if you have seen her designs you know that she is very talented. She designed this invitation set for her own wedding and we are very happy with how they turned out. The invitation features a beautiful vector flower design letterpress printed in purple ink and text in dark gray ink. The invitation is printed on 179# 100% cotton paper that has a slight texture (which is different from our house stock which comes in 110# and 220#).

 The reply card continues the floral theme with a single flower and text printed in purple ink. This 179# paper is great if you want wedding invitations printed on paper that isn’t heavily textured. The RSVP card is paired with an envelope that has a great purple polka dot design letterpress printed on the front with the address in dark gray.

 Jina also designed what we think is just about the coolest map and direction card around. The direction card incorporates the purple and dark gray colors as well as the polka dot theme and is the same size as the invitation. The invitation set envelope is lined in a bright purple and white polka dot paper which is a great match for this set. You may have noticed some pictures of the twinkle letterpress wedding invitation set posted to our flickr account this past weekend. This was one of our original letterpress wedding invitation designs and has been a popular request among our clients. We’re happy that we are finally able to post pictures that illustrate how beautiful this set really is.

The set is printed on 100% cotton paper and with golden yellow and charcoal ink which provide great contrast for the twinkle pattern especially on the invite shown above on the left. For this particular set, the bride and groom wanted a postcard for the reply card which you can see on the right above (this set normally comes with a standard RSVP card and envelope).

In addition to the invite and reply card, the set also includes a direction card and an envelope for the set. The direction card was wax printed in charcoal and yellow and the invitation envelope continues the twinkle pattern in yellow across the flap with the return address as well. All of our wedding designs can be fully customized from the graphics and text to the paper, size, and layout. We printed this wedding invitation set for a bride and groom who are getting married at a vineyard on the north fork of Long Island. The set, which was designed by Jina Paik, features grapes on the vine letterpress printed on 100% cotton paper (our house stock) and matching envelopes. The invitation is simple and elegant which highlights the grapes and is printed in purple and gold ink. The reply card was also printed in purple and gold ink and continues the theme with a grape leaf and overlapping line art. Both the envelopes were letterpress printed in purple, the invite envelope with a smaller image of the grapes on the back flap and the reply envelope with the line art and address on the front.
