We wanted to share these cards for two reasons. First, these business cards were printed on a new 220# stock that is super soft. The cards are slightly thicker than 220# Lettra but the paper is much softer and takes a great impression.
The second reason is the edge coloring. We get a lot of emails from clients asking us about edge coloring so we wanted to set the record straight.
What colors are available?
Edge coloring can be done in almost any color.
Can you match a color on my card or a swatch?
Yes, the colors are mixed by hand just like our inks.
Are the edges of the cards crisp?
Yes, the edge coloring process is done by hand, like everything else we do, so the result is a crisp, clean edge.
Is the color uniform?
Yes. While there may be subtle variations in the color (just like with letterpress), the final result is a nice uniform color like the photo below.
Some information about Dale’s business cards: Letterpress printed on 220lb pearl white in black and purple with matching purple edges. The layout was done by Dale himself using Arial. The cards were trimmed to 3.5″ x 2″.
