Blind deboss on 4-ply Rising Museum Board for @r38y
We posted about Nerd Merit Badges a few weeks ago, a project we printed for Randy and John specifically for their printer hero badge. Well Randy was happy with the results and wanted to use letterpress for another project, pupCard. We letterpress printed these pupCards in silver and transparent white on a 2″ square card.
So what the hell is a pupCard?
We have a tough time keeping track of our clients contact information. Sometimes designers we’ve worked with in the past have moved on to start their own creative agencies and keeping an up to date contact book can be really tough. pupCard aims to keep us up-to-date by allowing you to subscribe to their vcard. You can find our information at: http://pcrd.me/letterpress
We used Rising Museum Board in black for the paper stock. This stock is one of our new favorites and it takes an impression really well and is super thick. We printed the cards 2-up on a press sheet, then cut down to 2″ square and the corners were rounded. The front was letterpress printed using metallic silver ink, the back was done with transparent white ink for a nice subtle finish.
The contact information was intentionally left off the card with the exception of the pupCard link where you can go to get Randy’s up-to-date contact info. Take a look at the photos below and let us know what you think!
