A bright green colored edge makes these cards pop!
We just posted business cards that we printed for Timothy Millar, a hairdresser from Australia. Well Tim was recommended by Adam Cox and these are his business cards. Adam is a strategist and wanted cards that would stand out for his consulting firm, Mint Cross.
So what exactly is a strategist? Well, we’ll get the brain trust together, push around some ideas, and get back to you.
Adam supplied us with the design and left the execution to us. We letterpress printed the cards on Crane’s Lettra in a pearl white color. We used a pre-duplexed 220lb stock since the design on either side was just text.
The decision to duplex before or after printing is somewhat subjective but, our opinion is based on the amount of coverage on either side and our experience with past projects. Our primary concern it to achieve the best impression possible while minimizing the push-through effect on either side.
The front and back were letterpress printed in black from magnesium plates and cut down to size (90 x 49 mm). The cards were then edge colored in a bright green. The finished cards look polished with a bit of flair thanks to the edge coloring.
