Men's Vogue contacted us to print custom letterpress invitations for a special event sponsored by Audemars Piguet. The famous watch manufacturer was the inspiration for the invitation, which features a vector drawing of one of their watches. When letterpress printed, the area around the thin lines of the design become raised making the watch design come to life.
The invitation and envelope were letterpress printed in charcoal and silver metallic ink, the invite on our thick (220#) house paper. We get many requests for metallic ink, and while letterpress printing with metallics doesn't produce a mirror finish like foil stamping, you do get a nice shimmer that makes the design pop on the white paper.
