Red 032 and black ink merge together to form the logo.
It’s a sunny Saturday on Long Island and we thought what better to do than post a business card up on the blog. We printed these business card for Frank of Frank Woll Designs recently and really liked the simplicity of the design. We worked through two iterations of Frank’s cards to really nail down the look her was going for. Check out the rest of the photos and let us know what you think!
The cards were letterpress printed on 600gsm cotton paper in three-colors. Red 032 and Black were used to accent the logo, and the contact information was printed in a silver metallic ink. All of the text is minimal especially when compared to the bright and bold FW logo.
The Frank Woll Design team specializes in the design of complex structures. So what exactly is a complex structure? Well it really covers anything on land , sea, or air. Frank has some gorgeous renderings of luxury yachts in his portfolio, definitely worth checking out. I wonder how many cards we’d need to print for him for a yacht? Think about the possibilities … a seaworthy print shop!
We’ve got a few great projects to share next week so make sure to stay tuned. Monday will start the week with a letterpress booklet we produced for MSSU to showcase the design talent of their students and faculty.
