Custom die-cut letterpress cards for Photographer Inku Yo.
We’ve printed business cards for Inku in the past, check out these cards and gift certificates we posted back in 2009 (Branding isn’t only for cows!). Inku came back to us with a redesigned logo, and so we wanted to change the look of the cards. This time we wanted to feature his logo more prominently on the card. Check out more photos by following the link and tell us what you think!
First we started with the shape of the card. Inku shoots some amazing photos and we wanted his card to stand out from the crowd. Since the “i” is such a prominent feature of his logo we decided to use that for the shape, placing his logo in the circle. To add an extra pop, we laminated the front to a blue stock.
The front was letterpress printed on 300gsm Crane’s Lettra in fluorescent white in blue and gray ink. For the backs we used Colorplan Tabriz Blue (350gsm) and letterpress printed a blind dot pattern to add texture. The two sheets were laminated (duplexex) to create a ~650gsm card which was then die-cut.
