Blind impression gives the logo texture.
Moss + Isaac are photographers based in NY with a definite talent. The company was started by Leigh Anna and CJ, two girls with self-described southern charm! You should know by now that Photographers love letterpress business cards (don’t believe? check it out: 1, 2, 3, and more …), so it’s no surprise when we spoke with them that that was the route they wanted to go.
The cards were designed by Chris Thompson, an independent graphic designer from NY. A lot of cards pass through our door, but there is something about the clean styling of these business cards that we really like. Needless to say Chris did an amazing job with the design and we did what we’re good at, putting ink on paper.
Here are some additional photos of the cards. The business cards were printed on 220lb fluorescent white paper in two colors, black (contact information) and blind (logo). We refer to blind impressions as colors since they require an additional pass through the press. The thin lines of the logo and type made it easy for the plate to get a nice bite into the paper, printing them on a 10×15 Heidelberg Windmill didn’t hurt either! Following printing, the cards were trimmed to 3.5″ x 2″.
We really loved some of CJ and Leigh Anna’s photos. You can check them out on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/mossandisaac
