Bubble-esque letterpress logo is a neat effect.
We figured we would start the week off with a card that really “POPS”.We’ve shown you some of the cards Daniel Jang has designed in the past (Nexus String Quartet), so when he wanted cards for his photography and design business (Paper View Graphics) we were excited to see what he whipped up.
These business cards by/for Daniel Jang, principal of Paper View Graphics, were letterpress printed on 110lb fluorescent white lettra. The cards were printed in two custom colors: 370U (green) and 4505U (sand). To accomodate a limitless selection of colors, especially for smaller projects, most colors are custom mixed from a special combination of 14 different pantone mixing colors.
The impression of each individual “bubble” in the logo creates a cool raised effect in the white space around them. After printing, the cards were cut down to standard business card size, 3.5″ x 2″.
We always like to take a peak at the websites of business cards that we print. Photographers are great because they always have neat photos of places they’ve been and things they’ve seen. We spotted this pic of a confection from one of our favorite spots, Bouchon Bakery!
We had the pleasure of feasting on some tasty Bouchon treats at our wedding at Per Se this past December … all we can say is yummy macaroons.
