McKeough Letterpress Cards June 17, 2011
Deep impression on 100% cotton paper.
C McKEOUGH unLTD. is a design studio based in NYC run by Caroline McKeough. Caroline and her team works on a wide range of projects ranging from designing interiors to create unique products for sale. Take a look at some of the stuff she’s created (objects). See more pictures of the business cards after the break and come back tomorrow to see photos of her cards in production.
Caroline contacted us to get business cards she designed letterpress printed. The cards were printed on our 220lb cotton paper in two colors: gray and transparent white. The business cards were cut down to a standard size, 3.5″ x 2″.
The 220lb stock measures almost .05″ thick on our calipers and is the perfect stock to achieve a deep impression. Not only is the paper thick, but it’s also quite soft and has a velvety finish. The impression gets a great contrast since the paper has a slight texture.
People seemed to really like the production photos we posted for Randy Schmidt’s business cards (pupCards) so we decided to post photos for Caroline’s cards as well. Check back tomorrow for process shots and a movie clip of her cards being printed!
